Important Reminder on Catdemic Integrity and Professional Conduct
With recent changes at the university and within the faculty, our expectations regarding catdemic ethics and professional behavior should be highlighted.
As representatives of both our faculty and the university, it’s essential that you uphold the highest standards of conduct, as a cat. Our catdemic unit emphasizes the importance of:
- Maintaining catdemic integrity in all your work, including proper territory citation and respectful napping spot allocation
- Avoiding plagiarism and any form of catdemic misconduct
- Demonstrating professionalism in all interactions within the university and faculty
- Maintaining discretion in personal relationships and keeping courtship behaviors at appropriate volumes and locations
- Respecting shared lobby spaces and maintaining proper grooming standards in public areas
Please be aware that serious breaches of catdemic conduct can lead to significant consequences, including:
- Suspension or termination of kitty scholarships or kitty fellowships
- Removal from your napping spots or treat allowance (as shown in Figure 1)
- Mandatory attendance at Proper Purrtocol workshops
- Disciplinary investigations by faculty or the university
We also appreciate your expressions of gratitude towards faculty and instructors; however, we kindly ask that you keep these gestures verbal (or, meow-bal?). This approach helps maintain professional boundaries and upholds our commitment to catdemic integrity.
As fluffy cutie cats and future leaders in a cat community, we encourage you to strive for the highest standards of catdemic and professional conduct. This applies not only to you but also to some of our outstanding faculty members.
